Intro to WingWise

Hi, I'm Mason, the creator of WingWise. I created WingWise to serve as a quick and easy shop for pilots to find information about aircraft.

I've loved aviation since I was little. I started off with a fascination for military aircraft, but now I believe aviation safety and my finances have progressed to a point where flying is a viable and reasonably safe option for me to pursue. My knowledge of general aviation aircraft always lagged behind military aircraft. It seems kind of hard to locate aircraft types, to compare them, and to know how much they cost. So that's why I created WingWise.

I'm not a pilot. Not yet. I've been a software developer for mostly a decade. I intend to formally start ground school soon. I've got a flight school picked out. I intend to share my experiences here in this blog. Along the way, I hope to share my journey through flight school, help promote aviation safety, raise awareness of various issues and myths in aviation, and help other pilots locate aircraft they might like to buy.
